Despina Pilavakis was once taught by singing sensation Katherine Jenkins before she was signed. In addition to having one of the purest voices that has been heard in a very long time, Despina is a solid entertainer. She is in her element when she is performing to a live audience and has performed to audiences as large as 40,000 people. Recently most recognised as one of the finalists on X-factor UK 2009 where she made it to the final 24, Simon Cowell said he was ‘surprised she was not signed’ and Katherine Jenkins said ‘I thought Despina had a great voice, she definitely stood out’. Despina is dedicated to creating her sound and presenting the world with chart topping music that is not only relevant but also relatable.

Having recorded a number of songs over the past 3 years alone, Despina’s unique blend of R&B and Soul stylings makes her a vocal standout. Her powerful yet soothing voice is best showcased when she masterfully manipulates ballads with the finesse and passion that can only come from the heart of a true music lover. Despina has written or co-written the majority of her music and you can feel the emotion in every note. Recently Despina has had the pleasure of being able to work with respected music producers Richard Niles and Chad Beatz and is planning on collaborating with more top producers and songwriters to complete her project.
